Steel Parts Cart - Model No. PC-1010

The BCW Fabricated Steel Parts Carts are designed to hold engine components for transporting or storing during the tear down and rebuilding of engine systems. The unit is extremely important as a vehicle for safely transporting parts between separate work stations during the cleaning and rebuilding operations.

The bottom shelf is constructed of 2" x 2" HD tubular steel tubing and heavy gauge expanded sheet steel on which the parts rest. The 2" x 2" tubing not only serves as the main load bearing member but also serves as a safety lip around the periphery of the shelf to prevent parts from falling or rolling off in case of sudden stops.

Beneath the bottom shelf lays a heavy gauge sheet metal oil drip pan for capturing oil drippings and engine cleaning solvents. The pan insures a safe, clean, work station environment free of potential injuries from spilled fluids. The pan is removable for cleaning and easy replacement. The remaining three shelves are constructed of heavy duty angle that hold the expanded steel shelves in place and also provides a safety lip around the expanded periphery to prevent the parts from falling or rolling off the shelves. The total area of the cart is 65 square feet.

A six inch by twenty four inch rectangular box constructed of perforated steel and located on the bottom shelve provides six additional compartments for safely storing small parts such as keepers, pins, washers, and nuts and again insures a clean, safe work station environment throughout the facility.

Ball bearing heavy duty quality locking six inch casters, coated with polyurethane to absorb minor inconsistencies in cement and pavement surfaces provide smooth and easy mobility. The two rear casters are swivels and the two front are rigid, which provide easy steering and maneuverability of the cart.

The BCW Parts Cart was designed to improve work station efficiency and safety by providing a means of transporting diesel engine components from one area of the overhaul operation to another while still maintaining engine component identity.
